There are some really special ladies in Honor Society's life...young gentlewomen who constantly go above and beyond the call of duty for the gentlemen of Honor Society. Many of you know these ladies already...and this is where we get to give them shout-outs, thank-yous and tell embarrassing stories about them :)
It was one year ago TODAY that Rebecca Nesi attended her first Honor Society show at Olive's in Nyack, NY. It feels like forever ago, but it wasn't...and it's crazy to think about how much has happened and how things have grown for Honor Society in the last year. A lot of that growth and success is because of our Official Street Team, of which Rebecca is co-leader. THANK YOU REBECCA for all your hard work, your organization and motivation, your diligence and patience. Unfortunately, I don't have any embarrassing stories to tell about you...cuz you're too cool for school! :)
We did a bunch of shows at Olive's. They were pretty special for a few reasons - Alex had just joined Honor Society...we performed mostly for friends and family, so the audience was small and the setting was intimate...we met Rebecca, duh...and our friend, Stephanie Gotz, was usually there. It's been exactly 6 months since Steph passed away and we miss her a lot. We (and many many others) think about Steph all the time and that helps keep her alive in so many ways...that's pretty special. She loved to sing...she would sing along with every song that was on the radio...or ipod...or at karaoke :)
You know who else came to all the Olive's shows? And pretty much every show since then?? The one, the only Kat Gilbride. No blog about the ladies of Honor Society would be complete without mentioning Kat and her no-holds-barred dedication. In math terms: Kat = (totally awesome)^2 + 1,000,000*(thank you) = YOU DA BEST! :)
There are more special ladies of Honor Society - you know who you are - and we will most certainly have future blogs dedicated to you, so don't be mad. And just because I have to end each section of this blog with a smiley face............... :)

awww this is the sweetest blog ever. you guys are amazing. I remember jamming with steph kat and rebecca at my first HS show at olive's too. how time flies. those ladies are def the best. <3 and the gentlemen of HS are too.

i don't think any of us will ever forget Steph, in a good way. She'll live on in our hearts forever.
But major kudos to rebecca & kat! i'm prettttty sure they know they're ah-mazing.
